No visas might mean more jobs for UK citizens

Referring to govmt plans for not giving visas to low-skilled ppl from EU, this might mean more jobs for us.  Think this would be a good thing, right?

In theory yes, but in reality many in the UK weren't prepared to do certain jobs at least for the same wages, or it was never covered or encouraged in work experience classes at school. :-X

Really?  I was prepared to do 'certain jobs' way-back-when even though there was no legal minimum wage, but was told however politely to get lost!

Really?  I was prepared to do 'certain jobs' way-back-when even though there was no legal minimum wage, but was told however politely to get lost!
Experienced this many times.  Another thing that got me was that vacancies in the local JC were asking for 3-5 yrs min experience when I hadn't long left school LOL!
