President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron. He told about the content of the conversation on his Twitter.
"I informed about the situation at the front, the nuclear terrorism of the Russian Federation at the ZAES [Zaporizhia NPP]. I thanked him for the significant defensive support," he wrote, adding that the politicians also discussed strengthening macro—financial assistance to Ukraine.
In addition, the presidents touched upon challenges in the field of food security and increased sanctions pressure on Russia.
On August 1, the French President also had a telephone conversation with the head of Ukraine. The conversation lasted more than three hours, it was the first conversation between Macron and Zelensky after the French leader's visit to Kiev, which took place on June 16.
