Does anyone play gltron by Andreas Umbach?  It goes way back, and I first downloaded and started playing it in the early 00's and still play now and then.  Great game!

Loved this game based on light cycles in tron, was so different from the usual shoot-em-ups!  Used to play every day from 2008-2011 but not so much now due to family commitments.

I've played this a few times and agree it's a nice change from the usual f.p.shooter games - and it's free which is good.  Only one downside is that it only has one theme tune which is a bit monotonous. :P

This takes me back a bit, back to 2001-2003 when I used to play it.  As to the only one theme tune Revenge Of Cats, you can look for other tunes of the same file format and put them in the music folder.  There are many free tunes with no copyright restrictions.  I also created my own art packs.

From 2001?  Didn't realize it went that far back, I first downloaded and started playing it in 2004 and have been sort of addicted to it ever since.  How did you do your own art packs?  That's interesting!  Thanks Admin for saying. 8)

Yes, glTron's been around for a long time and if I recall correctly, it was based on 2D snake games that were popular in the 90's.  I'll send you a PM about the art packs.

I've done a few art packs myself, simple way is to create a new folder in the 'art' folder and name it what ever you like, then go into one of the default art pack folders and do Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C.  Go into the new folder delete what's there, then simply Ctrl-C will copy the contents into the new folder.  Now open the floor, wall, sky, etc, image files in simple M$-Paint and edit as needed. :-X
